BEST WAYS TO SHOP ON A BUDGET $$
I am what you call a bargain hunter.
Searching for sales is on the list of hobbies along with thrift shopping. The best feeling in the world is knowing that you got a bomb item for the low low. This post is for my fellow stylistas on a budget.
SHOP SMART
Shop smart. You guys hear me say it all the time, but what does it really mean? For me shopping smart is getting a good looking item for cheap. You have to know where to go and how to buy. Before I go on a shopping spree I always look in my closet to see what I already have and what I need. But if you’re like the lazy version of me then you can result to taking pictures of the clothes you already have and just look through it while shopping. The best way to have a timeless wardrobe to know your wardrobe needs, for example basic t-shirt, jeans, boots etc.
SALE SEARCHING
If you are not in tuned with your community then consider signing up for a monthly subscription of your local newspaper. They usually have listings of weekend sales and such. Also you can sale hunt online. The best way to know what’s happening at your favorite stores is to sign up for their newsletter, they’ll let you know when they’re having a sale.
BUDGET FRIENDLY ONLINE STORES
I do a lot of online shopping because it’s convenient, but I also do some research on the stores I’m shopping from just to be on the safe side. Below is a list of my favorite online stores.
ALIEXPRESS
BURLINGTON
SHE IN
FASHION NOVA
SHOEDAZZLE
MARSHALL
SHOPSTYLE
POSH LOVE
ALDO
AMAZON
ESTY
EBAY
ALWAYS TAKE CASH
When shopping on a budget it’s good to always carry cash and leave your card at home. That way you know your budget and how much to spend at each store and also how many items you’re getting for your money.
OUTLET STORES
Outlet stores are also a good way to save money, most of the time you just have to repair some of the items, but outlet stores are great for budget stylistas like yourself.
SELF DISCIPLINE
A simple trick to save money is to discipline yourself. Always ask yourself if you need the item or want it. And most times we confuse wants for need. For example; you have 20 pairs of shoes, you don’t need another pair but you want it. Instead of getting that pair of shoes you can get something you need like a pair of gloves for winter.
