DIY BLEACHED JEANS

HOW TO BLEACH YOUR JEANS

Today’s tutorial is how to bleach your pants. This tutorial is a little tricky so pay good attention.

MATERIALS

  • Measuring cup
  • Bleach
  • Jeans
  • Rubber bands (or brush)
  • Bucket
  • Hot water
  • Gloves
  • Scissors

STEP ONE

Pick out your jeans and get your materials ready. First you’re going to get your bucket and fill it halfway with hot water. Then you’re going to get your measuring cup and measure the bleach to 500 ml, pour the bleach in the water and let it sit.

STEP TWO

Grab your rubber bands and get ready to knot your jeans. First we’re going to fold the jeans, we’re going to fold like it we’re trying to squeeze the water out of it. Then you’re going to knot it with the rubber bands. (If this is too complicated for you can use the brush to bleach the pants. If you decide to use the brush you’re going to dip it into bleach and basically :paint” the pants however you want it.)

STEP THREE

When you’re done knotting your jeans, wear your gloves and put it in the bleach. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then turn it over and let it sit for another 30 minutes. ( If you’re using the brush you can let it sit and dry or put it in the dryer.

STEP FOUR (OPTIONAL)

After you’ve turn it over wait for 30 minutes and take it out. Grab your scissors.  Pick up your pants. Lay your pants on a flat surface and begin cutting straight lines in the front. Start from
the bottom and go to the top.  Once you’re done, use the scissors to ruffle the cuts.

STEP FIVE

When you’re done cutting, put it in the washer and let it rinse the bleach scent from on it. ( This also applies for those using the brush, once the pants is dry put it in the washer and let it rinse for a few minutes.) When it’s done washing toss it in the dryer for a few minutes. When you take it out of the dryer it should look like this.

That’s it you’re done! You now have a pair  bleached jeans.
