Hey dolls!
It’s been three years and some of you don’t even know who I am. You just know the crazy wig loving, fashion obsessed and makeup junkie Jael. That’s not the only Jael there is, I’m going to introduce you guys to the real Jael. The crazy loud, compassionate and sometimes just plain crazy Jael.
I’m going to post some pictures that have been hidden in my archives just because it’s the real ones lol.
MY FAMILY
MY SIBLINGS
- So I am the oldest of 5 children from my Mom’s side and I am the second of 6 children from my Dad’s side. As you can imagine that’s a lot of kids but Africans love kids so they just don’t stop having kids. I have an older who is 20 years old and after her I’m pretty much the boss.
- I’m kinda bossy and over protective when it comes to my siblings especially my baby sister who I senior by 4 years. We have a lot of boys in my family. I have 4 sisters and 6 brothers. I spend most of my life babysitting and cleaning after my sister because she’s a spoiled brat. I tell her I hate that she’s spoiled but I low-key have a part in it. I also spoiled my baby brother who is “the man of the house” after Dad. He is just the cutest thing ever. He is a trouble maker and he’s very talkative but I wouldn’t have it any other way. The oldest boy in the family is months apart from me, we’re almost twins we were born the same year but different months.
MY PARENTS
- My mom is the most embarrassing person ever! She’s one of those very “African” moms that are always yelling for no reason, making you do unnecessary things and oh making you pray every second of the day. All jokes aside my mom is a strong and beautiful black woman. She is an example of what a mother should be for her children. We all have been through a lot but it’s because of the strength in the time of our weakness that has brought my family and I this far. My mom is my best friend, we talk about EVERYTHING! I just love hanging out with her because she’s like me. I sometimes feel like she’s the older version of me lol. Oh lemme just say I got my style from her. Her dressing is always on point. I grew up watching her dress up, flash forward to now where she asks my opinions on her outfit lol I think I have arrived. ?
When it comes to Dads I was really gifted in that area because I have 4 males that stand in my life as father figures. I love them all equally. They all have contributed to making me the woman I am today.
FRIENDS
I don’t have much friends because I have been hurt a lot in the past by friends. The friends I do have are now considered family because that’s the African way to do things. My dearest friend Marvalyn is the real gem. She’s been there through it all and we always laugh at each other’s pain. I don’t even consider her my friend because it just feels weird to… We both have the same ambitions and we’re always rooting for each other. I mean her words of wisdom sometimes catches me off guard because I always call her stupid jokingly of course. She’s very wise beyond her years.
FACTS ABOUT ME
- I love taking random selfies on snapchat and talking to complete strangers about issues of the world. I love learning and exploring. Don’t get me wrong tho I’m not that adventurous. I’m not the camping, get ya hands dirty kinda girl, but I would if I have to.
- Shopping for unnecessary things is like my sixth sense.
- I love to dance African music
- I like to think I have a photographic memory because I can find an outfit in my closet while I’m in class. I can’t help that I’m so gifted.
- I am a 17 year old in college. I just thought I would say that because people think it’s rare or something. I skipped the fourth grade.
- I act too damn grown, which lead people to believe that I’m actually older than 17. Most people think I’m 20 years old. *sigh*
- I am a member of the choir in church. Now I wouldn’t say my voice is a Beyonce but it’s definitely a singing voice ya know
- I am a introvert that likes people . Does that makes sense? I like to mind my business and stay out of people’s way but I sometimes like people around. And I sometimes like to start drama since I’m being honest and all.
- I love Liberian food! But most of you already knew that. Actually I like food in general but Liberian food is just…!
- I live for apple sauce and brownies!! I mean apple sauce on a shitty day is why I am alive.
- I am a natural hair junkie. I treat my hair as if it’s my baby, but when I’m tired of fussing with it I just throw on a wig and call it a day.
- I make wigs!! I wouldn’t say I’m a professional but I think my wigs are good enough to be worn by humans. I mean I wear my mess all the time lol.
- I am a huge Jesus freak!! I pray, fast, sing, praise you name it all. I mean people think I’m annoying because that’s all I talk about all the time! God is my everything.
- Last but not least I have an African booty. One of those really out of control ones that makes everybody stare when you wear tight clothes. Yeah… I’m living most girls dream ya know lol.
