WHAT’S THE MOVE?
Oh my God!! I have been gone for ages, I know. The world is literally falling apart in the most apocalyptic way possible. Welcome to my reality guys! There’s so many things to catch up on, I honesty don’t know where to start so I will start with my life. You know? the usual lol.
Well before Ms. Corona came to ruin our lives I was working on getting a showroom space for my brand Jlx By Jael and after months of searching I finally found THEE space. For two months I literally had zero inventory because the freaking world was shut down. I had no sales and was pretty much sad, you know? the usual. Then boom, George Floyd gets murdered. The Black lives Matter protests starts in Minneapolis and of course I’m scared to death because the entire city is burning ten minutes away from me. We were on all on curfew. I was scared as hell, but in my fear I completely understood what was going on and maybe, just maybe this horrible thing needed to happen. I don’t condone violence or advocate for such but there comes a time when you have to use force to be heard. I was scared for my life, my business and my community. Not because of the violence but because people were dying at these protests and the media kept making the protesters out to be the bad guys. There were KKK klans men renting out hotel rooms fifteen minutes away and people were mysteriously going missing. The media never talked about it or addressed that issue. Now we’re in very uncertain times and being black is the new cool thing again because we’re all “activists”.
Mentally I’m drained, financially my bank account is still holding on to the garment of Jesus and physically I am restless. Too many things happened in the span of four weeks. I am very emotional as you all may know. Not only am I invested into my mental health, but I am also invested into my spiritual health and so far the two Ain’t looking too good.
I honesty have so many stories to tell you guys but I don’t want to make this post too long. I have literally forgotten how to blog so please excuse my grammatical errors. I want to make this a series because I have so many things to talk about or maybe I could just go back to posting three times a week… We’ll see if my current schedule will permit me to do such. Anyway this is where I’m going to end this post today. I love you guys so much and I’ll see you next time. XOXO
That’s all for now until next time, stay fabulous!
Peace, love and happy shopping
